Our new construction will allow us to invite our community to experience the unique participatory worship and loving environment that have drawn hundreds to McDermott Road already. It will also help us to reach middle school and high school students and minister to them in a space which shows them how much we value them.
We have faith the members of McDermott Road will rise to the challenge God has given us to grow His kingdom for the glory of Jesus Christ. With God’s help and your sacrificial giving, we will have the equity along with a construction loan to reach our goals of constructing this new addition to our facility which will help us make a greater impact in our community and the world.
Currently, our debt is the lowest it has been since 2002 and our giving is higher than it has ever been.
We believe we should be good stewards of God’s money. Signing a commitment card for the “Brighter Together” campaign will help the elders understand our collective potential to do what we believe God is calling us to do over the next three years.
We are asking each person to sacrificially give to the capital campaign for the next three years.
Our current auditorium will be used as our chapel. We will use it for weddings, funerals, baptisms, Sunday morning Bible classes, Wednesday evening Bible classes, conferences, Vacation Bible School, children and youth activities, and much more. And because the floor is flat, and the chairs are moveable, we will occasionally set up tables for meal events like our Senior Night.
First, we are asking you to give a sacrificial gift over and above your regular contribution for the next three years. Secondly, some may want to give some of their personal assets to the church for the “Brighter Together” campaign. Third, some people may have other forms of gifts they may want to give to the campaign, such as investments and assets. There are members from McDermott Road that can help you in this area.
First and foremost, please PRAY regularly for our “Brighter Together” campaign. Secondly, participate in the events and meetings that are designed for each one of us during the campaign. Make a commitment to learn as much as you can about the campaign and the vision it will help us realize. Be willing to say “yes” if asked to serve. And third, give sacrificially. The vision God has granted us can only be achieved through faith and sacrifice.
